When Holy Spirit moves, His gifts and power are definitely part of this move. In fact, most people are desirous of a particular gift, or part of Holy Spirit, but unfortunately many are not willing to embrace ALL of Him. In addition, it is often difficult to separate the Holy Spirit gift from the minister. Discernment is a must, and wisdom and clear understanding of the principles of God essential. Many times the natural personality of the minister becomes mixed with the gift, and can muddy and dilute the voice of God. God’s glory cannot be stewarded by the pride of man, or be mixed with human failings and sin. We must allow God’s discernment to show us the Truth about character even when the spiritual gifting is strong. How do we embrace all of God yet discern between His gifts and the often strong human nature and character of the minister?
